History of AWVH
After Dr. Scott Carpenter graduated veterinary school in 1987, he practiced in the Westminster area for approximately three years. He then decided to open his very own practice in July 1990, with his first client on July 3, 1990. When he first opened his doors, he had the support of his mother, Rosanne Carpenter. She wore many hats and was his assistant as well as his receptionist. As the practice grew, Dr. Carpenter hired a certified veterinary technician, and Rosanne then became solely the receptionist. The practice continued to grow, and he was able to hire a full staff. Dr. Carpenter started to have a discussion with Dr. Alexander Marshall, a doctor at Ralston Road Animal Hospital, about merging the two practices in 2000. They decided to combine both of the practices and to build a new state of the art facility. In the spring of 2002, they moved into the new facility and became one large family known as Arvada West Veterinary Hospital. AWVH still continues to grow and offer state of the art equipment as well as practice the best medicine for your family member.
