Dental Digital X-Rays
The importance of x-rays is to show us what the naked eye cannot see. When an x-ray is taken, we are looking for problems and/or concerns under the gum line. A few examples of what we are looking for that may cause complications include: retained, fractured or abscessed roots. As we examine the mouth, we chart the teeth and record what level of dental disease that your pet may have. The four stages of dental disease are further explained below with a brief description and picture of each phase.
